Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their UEFA Champions League campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. The French giants were made to work for a point as the Bundesliga side impressed at their home stadium.
The breakthrough came in the 28th minute when Kylian Mbappé found the net with a clinical finish. The young French forward latched onto a through ball from Lionel Messi and slotted home with ease. Dortmund responded well to the setback and leveled the scores in the 53rd minute through Jude Bellingham.
Both sides had chances to win the game in the second half, but neither could find a way through. Paris Saint-Germain will be pleased with a point away from home, while Dortmund will be disappointed not to have claimed all three points. The draw leaves both sides level on points after the first round of fixtures in Group H.
