Problem Description
An ACPIMSFT0101 device may display errors, indicating a missing or malfunctioning driver. Running the Microsoft hotfix fails, and there is no available AMD HDMI audio driver for Windows 7 32-bit.
Solution
Step 1: Switch to Windows 7 64-bit
The hotfix is only compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. Switching to 64-bit will allow you to install the hotfix and resolve the driver issue.
Step 2: Install the Hotfix
Download the hotfix from the link below and run it. This will install the necessary device driver.
Download Hotfix Step 3: Check Device Status
Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Security" > "Device security". Under "Security processor", select "Security processor details" and then "Security processor troubleshooting". If the driver is installed correctly, you should see an updated driver.
Additional Note
If you are unable to locate the downloaded driver, try using HP Support Assistant to assist with driver management.
