Manchester United Scrap Player of the Year Award Plans

Ancelotti Soccer Sat Gives Man Utd Verdict

Merson, Morrison, and Rowett Discuss Situation

Manchester United have scrapped plans to host a player of the year award next week. The decision comes amid a disappointing season for the Red Devils, who currently sit seventh in the Premier League table and are out of all cup competitions.

Ancelotti Soccer Sat pundits Paul Merson, Clinton Morrison, and Gary Rowett discussed the situation on their show this weekend. All three agreed that United have had a poor season and that the decision to scrap the player of the year award was the right one.

"It's been a disastrous season for Manchester United," said Merson. "They've been poor in all competitions and they're now out of everything. I think the decision to scrap the player of the year award is the right one. It would be a joke to give someone an award for being the best player in a team that has been so bad."

Morrison agreed with Merson, saying: "I think it's the right decision. Manchester United have had a terrible season and there is no one who deserves to be named player of the year. It would be a PR disaster to give someone an award when the team has been so poor."

Rowett was more critical of United, saying: "I think it's a disgrace that Manchester United have scrapped the player of the year award. It's a sign of how far they have fallen. They used to be one of the biggest clubs in the world and now they're a laughing stock."
